These easy maintenance, tough plants thrive in partial shade and can tolerate a variety of soil types, even very poor and heavy (clay) soils. Skimmia Rubella is happy in a border or in a container and also makes wonderful, compact ornamental hedges. Fully frost hardy, prefers a semi-shady spot but will also do well in dappled through to deep shade. Prune lightly immediately after flowering to retain shape or reduce size.
