There are other citrus species referred to as limes, but the Persian lime (also known as the Tahiti lime) is the most widely grown and most widely sold.
The trees are nearly thornless and the fruit grows to about 6cm in diameter.
The fruit turns yellow as it ripens but is often sold whilst still green.
Currently without fruit, but in flower so due to fruit soon.
These plants are currently without fruit however flower buds are forming and fruit will follow later in the season.
