Wisteria are most attractive deciduous climbing plants, well loved for their characteristic pendant and often fragrant flowers which occur in spring or summer. They are members of the pea, luguminosae family of plants and the flowers and seed pods are most reminiscent of this fact. They are fully hardy. If eaten all parts will cause much discomfort. They are generally trouble free although a few things including honey fungus or aphids may cause problems. This variety has shortish lavender flowers with golden leaves in summer.
