Wisteria are most attractive deciduous climbing plants, well loved for their characteristic pendant and often fragrant flowers which occur in spring or summer. They are members of the pea, luguminosae family of plants and the flowers and seed pods are most reminiscent of this fact. They are fully hardy. If eaten all parts will cause much discomfort. They are generally trouble free although a few things including honey fungus or aphids may cause problems. Mid green pinnate leaves and white short racemes of flowers.
